 Overseas MissionaryOur church supported one member of our congregation who was a missionary in Japan in 2009. He has now returned to work for Campus Crusades for Christ in Australia. Scripture in Schools Our church supports the work of the Sutherland Board of Christian Education. Stamps for Missions Several members prepare and sort used stamps which are sold to support Uniting Church mission activities. Living is Giving The congregation supports mission activities through the Uniting Church's Living is Giving program. Lent Event Several members have participated in this initiative in recent years to provide support for some of the world's most impoverished citizens. Christmas Hampers Through this initiative we reach out to local families in need at Christmas time. Warm Clothing for the Homeless Knitted scarves, beanies and warm clothing are being provided for homeless people Various other mission activities are instigated through our involvement in the community. |
