Food Hampers for the Community
At the request of various aid agencies in the Sutherland Shire, the Gymea-Miranda Uniting Church provides food parcels to those in need. Congregational members donate the food. If you require assistance, please contact one of the following agencies:

Through this initiative we reach out to local families in need at Christmas time.
This friendly group of ladies meets each Thursday at the Miranda Church Hall from 9.30am to 12 noon. Come in for a cuppa, chat and friendship as well as learning about many aspects of craft, including quilting, patchwork, sewing, embroidery, bear making, knitting, card making and more. |Our craft Group makes quilts for people in need. The above photo was taken in June 2019 when Robyn took 15 quilts up to Sutherland Shire Family Services in Jannali to be given to abused families and families in need. A further four quilts were delivered a few days later.

Every year on Thanksgiving Day the church invites people to share with us a simple Thanksgiving Meal served at the front of the church. Photos from 2019 follow:
Christmas in July. A Christmas in July outreach was held in front of the church on 27th July 2018. The event featured lots of great singing and plenty of food. Thanks to Heather for organising this event
